GOOD MOOD RECIPE

BLOOD ORANGE ICING

ACCESSORIES: citrus squeezer ORANGE, cup, grater, knife in your favorite colour,
CUCA silicone brush for spreading the icing on the cake

INGREDIENTS:
1 blood orange
1 cup of powdered sugar

PREPARATION:
1. Wash the orange thoroughly - rub the peel with a brush under hot water or scald it for a while with boiling water. Cool and wipe dry.
2. Grate the orange peel using a fine grater until you obtain 1 full tablespoon of aromatic shavings. Remember to grate only the outer skin, not the white part.
3. Cut the orange and squeeze the juice from 1 half - you need about 4 tablespoons of fresh juice. The ORANGE citrus juicer by CUCA will be perfect for this purpose as it will easily remove the seeds.
4. Heat the juice until it boils.
5. Pour powdered sugar into a cup or bowl, add orange peel and mix. Add the hot orange juice one spoon at a time, stirring vigorously. Use as much juice as needed to achieve your favourite consistency of icing. Remember that the icing will harden once it cools.
6. Use the silicone brush to spread the icing on your favorite cake and enjoy its citrus aroma!
